You wanted more time to prepare assignments including the end-of-module assessment. Workload was considered too high on one module.

We did...

In modules where this point was raised, break weeks have been incorporated and the assessment strategy has been revised to provide more time. Workload is being revised on one module.

We did...

We devised a coherent skill development strategy to run through the core modules of R26 so that students were prepared for each level of study. We also developed ‘transition workshops’

...in the NSS that student sense of community could be improved. In student consultations you also said that you wanted more tutorials, more opportunities to interact with other students and would like them to be recorded.

We did...

We made recording tutorials the default option across the school. Several module teams have reorganised tutorials and tried to increase opportunities to interact for students using methods including student buddies and module-wide forums.

Student satisfaction is strong at level one (usually above 90%) and postgraduate (above 85%). Satisfaction is usually around 88% at levels 2 and 3.

We did...

We are remaking or reworking modules at levels 2 and 3 to improve satisfaction, improving coherence of assessment, improving orientation to subjects as a whole, exploring opportunities to increase individual support and skills development opportunities. We are increasing opportunities for student representation when we make decisions about teaching.
