The National Student Survey is now open!

If you’re eligible, you’ll have received an email with a personalised link. You can also access the survey via the Student Survey FAQs or by clicking the link at the bottom of this article.

This is your chance to share honest feedback about your experience at The Open University. Your input helps us improve teaching, assessment, and student support.

Why do you we need your help with this?

To publish and report our NSS results, we need 50% of eligible students in all four of our Nations (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales) to complete the survey. So, it’s really important if you or students you know have been asked to complete the survey, you try to do so.
The results are published on the OfS and Discover Uni websites in the summer. These are free to view and can be accessed by anyone.
The NSS is an extremely valuable source of student feedback for the OU, as it identifies our strengths and where we need to improve. It also allows us to see how we’re performing against the rest of the sector.
As a result of previous NSS feedback, we have reviewed and improved how we support you through modules, the way we teach and assess your work, and how we communicate with you.

As a thank you for completing the survey...

Complete by 6 February for a £5 Love2shop e-voucher, and enter the additional prize draw for vouchers up to £500 if you complete by 30 April.

Your feedback shapes real changes at the OU. Results are published nationally, showing how we compare across the sector.

Participation is voluntary, but every response counts toward improving the OU experience.
