Here in Scotland we’ve been working hard to plan some really great events for Student Voice Week 2021.

We will be running a session on the re-launched Student Mental Health agreement to hear your ideas and suggestions on how we might be able to deliver on the actions in it. Our Autumn Big Blether will be a Student Voice Week special focussing on study confidence and wellbeing; we have a great speaker and will be providing you with the opportunity to ask questions in advance of the event as well as on the day. Following COP26 that’s being held in Glasgow in November, we are excited to be holding a Green Entrepreneur Showcase event where we shine a light on some of our students who have been inspired by their studies to develop sustainable initiatives.

There will be presentations from these students along with a panel Q&A where you will have the opportunity to ask our presenters and panel about their experiences and share your opinions about embedding green influences in the curriculum and your reflections on COP26.

We will also be handing our OUiS Twitter account over for a student comms takeover to kick off the week! Finally, we’ll be publishing a series of blogs written by students about their study experience, linking to World Access to Higher Education Day.

All of our events will include a post-event evaluation form that will be sent out to attendees. It’s really important to us that we hear your voice, not only at the event but also afterwards to feedback to us on your experiences. Tell us what worked, what didn’t and what you might like to see next time. This way we can make sure that we are delivering events that truly meet your needs. If you attend one of our sessions, please do take the time to complete this evaluation.

We’re really excited about this series of events and you can find out more information on our social media channels from 11th October. We’ll also be emailing you all to let you know the planned programme of events.
