We are currently running a Student Consultation Online Forums that you can get involved with:

• The Future of Learning and Assessment - 3 October to 20 October

The Open University has always aimed to make higher education accessible to anyone who wanted to study, and to use the latest technology to provide the best educational experience for our students. With recent technological advances, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality, the OU is looking at how we might facilitate and assess high-quality supported distance learning in the future to improve the student experience and student success. In focussing on learning, we recognise it may be facilitated in many ways such as by tutors, module team members, peers, technology, learning materials and more. In focussing also on assessment, we are exploring innovative ways in which students can be assessed to demonstrate they have met the learning outcomes. In exploring the Future of Learning and Assessment, we need to help more students achieve their study goals and ensure our approach is inclusive, while making sure that our operations are financially sustainable and deliver the best use of money for students In this consultation we are asking you to think about a future vision for learning and assessment. We are asking, if you were to start from nothing, what you might expect from a learning experience of the future (bearing in mind, making best use of resources).
