Tutor awards receive unprecedented participation from students.
What are the tutor awards?
The Tutor Awards were launched by the Students Association in 2022. They are awards given to OU Tutors solely chosen by OU students.
This year, the Tutor Awards received an outstanding 738 nominations from students coming forward to share their views via their nominations. The Students Association noted this was ‘an impressive 421% increase on nominations received the previous year’. Also impressively, over 300 of the students that gave their nomination, offered to judge the awards making the event truly student-led with student voice at the heart.
Judging panels, made up of students, will convene over the summer period to agree a winner for each of the four faculties, and they will be announced at an Awards Ceremony to be held as part of the Students Association Freshers activities at the end of September.
